Is Salesforce still chill?

If you had an offer that beat your current comp, would you take it?

Also, is there any reason not to go there?

SAP thinking they can compete with Salesforce is adorable!

SAP cannot even compete with Workday, forget Salesforce. 😂😂

You asked two questions that would lead to opposite answers in your poll. Which question do you want answered?

There's actually three questions, so who's the funny girl now? 😅

  • I’d go just because sap ceo hates on them with a passion every all hands meeting and has yet to show any substance on how “we WILL beat salesforce and become THE number 1 cloud company”

    • Not your ceo, SAPs ceo

Yes, I understand. My point was while SAP tries to outcompete SFDC, SFDC is not even aware of this competition going non, definitely not with SAP.

9 out of 10 folks I know who went to Salesforce are lazy morons with bad work ethics and incapable of doing anything beyond making generic statements that sound right. Not sure how this company is still above water.

    • I heard mulesoft promotes people all the time and let’s experienced people shit talk new employees to their face in the name of “radical candor”

      Radical candor sounds AMAZING
      Jul 11
    • But you also get no feedback on how to get better so it really just emphasizes people being assholes to each other

Are you a hard working talented individual? If yes, pass on Salesforce. If you’re average in talent and lazy in work ethic than go to Salesforce.

What about high talent, but want good wlb and autonomy?
      Jul 11
    • Salesforce h4voh21
Very very good wlb. But things move very very slow, so be prepared to go from 5th gear to 1st. Frustrating to say the least. Autonomy is not really common, it’s all about the sales. Remember it’s not a technology company.

Or if you’re good at politics and managing perception, go there. But then again with the aforementioned skills one can do well in any company. It just happens Salesforce values fluff over substance. Just remember Salesforce is NOT a technical company. They use technology to sell things.

Salesforce chillness varies a lot depending on which part of the company you're in and what product you're working on. Not to mention your role (eng, mgmt, test, etc...).

It’s becoming very political and nepotism is creeping in fast. Birds of a feather flock together.

From my experience, Salesforce is great for average engineers but not good for talented and hard working people as you will have to cover for the slackers in the team. Management does not push low performers ending up putting more pressure on people who work

Salesforce is an amazing sales and marketing company. The experience varies as a engineer. There are teams where you have to work a lot of hours to meet quarterly goals or marketing pushes like dreamforce and there's teams where not a lot is going on in development and no deadlines. Regardless, every team will have a lot of politics, but most companies do

  • Microsoft stink
depends on the role and position - why wouldn’t someone take it ? And why would people need others to say that ? Every person has specific needs and skills and they should decide for themselves- ask family . Others will just voice their biases here. Check if the team is good and the manager is respected and has the same values you look for.
