Is Segment the next YC unicorn?
Segment just announced its $64M C round led by YC Continuity and GV. The head of the continuity fund, the former Twitter COO, will join their board as he said they are "on a path to be among the most successful Y Combinator companies." The enterprise market is underserved in the data infrastructure and unified data warehouse spaces.

Is Microsoft still interested in acquiring?
We use Segment but their pricing is a little outlandish. A lot of it could be replicated with say Google tag manager. But I'm a little lazy right now so it does serve its purpose for the moment.
I disagree-- sure their client side stuff could be replaced, but their server side integrations are legit. The real beauty is pumping it into redshift and querying all your data for real insights. I couldn't do my job without it.
