Got an offer from Wayfair for a Sr. Manager - Marketing position (L4) for a new MBA grad with 6 YOE. Base $120k, RSU $28k ($112k over 4 years), Bonus $18k for a TC of $166k (plus a $30k sign on). Location is Boston. This feels low so I was wondering if anyone has any experiences with similar roles or negotiating up.
The RSU is pretty sad. But overall TC looks ok. Do you have prior experience?
Wait! What’s the vesting period on that RSU? Is it $28k/yr?
They'll never give you what you don't ask for.
Location is Boston, MA. RSU is prorated per year up to 4 years.
It's fine - also title inflation
I’d say it’s good for Boston. Try to push the base to 130k
Seems very good for a Wayfair non-tech new grad role. I wonder what your expectation was to think that this offer is a lowball?
Do you have headcount? Will you manage a budget? If no to those then this is fine. If yes to either of those then this is too low.
For an MBA, you are overpaid
