Waymo One was supposed to be truly driverless. Seems there's still a "safety driver" in the car. Is Waymo planning to offer rides without a driver? Seems like their progress is going much slower than expected.
Google has taken the best decision ever on this subject. The progress is certainly not slow when you compare with the complexity of problem. They are reaching new milestones every six months. No point rushing on ideas which have potential to be next 200 billion dollar business. Google is not as reckless as Tesla or Uber. And is certainly a good thing.
