I would be in Austin at least for another 3 years. Austin house prices up by whopping 14% yoy. Wondering if it's a good investment. Have ~100k for downpayment Any thoughts ? TC : 180k ( not at Intel) Yoe : 4
Housing prices may come down Interest rates my come up In general, this is a good time to buy.
If not you can always declare bankruptcy
3 years is too short, no.
At least spend a few million
Just do it
Best time to buy is 30 years ago... Barring that, now is a good time. I live in Austin area, and have owned multiple homes here. Last one sold after only 2.5 years and still made money on it. Just stick with good down payment and 15 year loan that doesn't have an outrageous payment.
What areas do you recommend in Austin? I work in Downtown and don't mind 45min commute time
As long as it cash flows positive you will be okay. Cash flow is king
