I read that smart men & women prefer less intelligent partners who compliments them. Both partners being competitive may cause conflicts. Thoughts?
the real question is whether you are attracted to smart people or less smart people
More important is overall personality. Opposite personalities attract.
Not true
Not true for everyone fo sure. I can't marry my twin lol
Completely unsubstantiated. Everyone is different and prefers different things.
I prefer to date someone close to my own intelligence level. Otherwise you don't understand each other
I love that my wife is smart. She'd be boring AF otherwise. And my kids are also. Good genes breed quality humans
I used to live with a woman who was much less intelligent. It was extremely frustrating. My wife now is crazy smart but I will say a very different intelligence than mine. One she earned through hard work much more so than me (I’m a lazy slacker). So we definitely have odd differences. I can pick up stuff faster than she can at first but if she’s motivated she will quickly eclipse my intelligence through hard work. Anyway having someone on a similar level is great. Having someone way smarter is also great as long as they take care not to point it out.
Compliment or complement?
For some strange reason, I was always attracted to the girl smarter than me. I felt it helped me immensely when I needed motivation or inspiration.

Competitive does not imply intelligent, and vice versa
Agree. But my point is overall personality. High performer vs someone who is not that career focused
Wtf, you change the measure every other word. First smart, then intelligent, then competitive, then high performer, then career focused. Get your question straight.
