Is it good to join Confluent now?
Considering increased competition from Amazon and controversy around Confluent’s new license, do you think now is a good time to join Confluent, given they just grew 5x to $2.5 bil?

Yes I think it’s a good time , they have the money to invest into long term projects that can deliver real value

Btw I tried AWS MSK and it sucked . No comparison to confluent Kafka at the moment

Very curious about this. I can see data management companies having enough differentiation from Amazon but not sure about these guys, specially if they have an open source community and project ; why can't Amazon develop the same features and throw it for free to AWS users to lure them in? Also they raised money at 2+ billion but does anyone know how their revenues are doing? 3x billings in press release is a bit deceiving from my perspective (if the growth is so spectacular why not share actual revenue growth? Perhaps because the billings are very very tiny deals?). I don't know enough about the market space so appreciate any insight.
