Biden’s new tax proposal is wild
Hello, I’ve been at T-Mobile for about 2 months so I’m fairly new, and I was pretty shocked that they made devs and PMs work 7 days a week and even thru holidays. Is this normal at T-Mobile? Mind you, these are hourly contractors
Nope
Illegal to make hourly workers work without comp
Yea, I doubt T-Mobile would be dumb enough to do this with devs. Especially in CA, cos they will go after them.
For h1b visas, the company has to show that it pays citizens the same rate in order to prevent foreign talent from undercutting the market. H1b visas can't be used for contracting positions either. At least not legally.
T-Mobile has Devs? What do u guys work on?
Not normal for the teams I have been on, but I am on infrastructure...
TMO does have devs working on web work, API based systems for automation, other automation devs, etc. All Telecom has devs...
What is the hourly rate? Sounds like a good opportunity.
PM’s I believe are around 120-140k devs I’m not too sure but the ones that are h1-b visas are severely underpaid- like 30/hr. Also since they’re hourly, they cannot go over 40 hrs/week yet they are forced to work 7 days a week anyways without compensation. Normal??
Sounds illegal af
