Is it ok to tell recruiters TC expectation numbers upfront in the first call?

Planning to ask this a google recruiter who approached me saying my profile got hiring manager attention.
Also how much is reasonable to ask on top of current Facebook tc? 30%?

Current TC 300k. E6, not a SWE.

Definitely be transparent upfront. Helps avoid a waste of time if they cant afford you after the process concludes. Then again, it depends on how much of an advocate your recruiter will be. Good recruiters won't use your expectation against you and will level with you on what they can afford

Research what’s the comp range (Blind,, your friends...) for your target level. The ask for target level before interviewing.

Negotiate this target level if needed.

Don’t do it. Save it for the negotiation phase

I would wait. Interview itself can be used as leverage, as well as your own personal, "In the first year, I'd like to..." on the negotiation call.
