Is it safe to keep interviewing after H1B transfer process started ? I have accepted an offer from Salesforce but now have an on-site with Twitter. I am going to start Salesforce next month. But given that Salesforce has already started the h1b transfer, and the fact that both Twitter and Salesforce use EIG (Erickson Immigration Group), is it possible that EIG will realize that I already accepted an offer from another one of their clients (Salesforce) and let Salesforce (or Twitter) know of my other ongoing h1b transfer ? I am worried because Twitter just sent me a questionnaire from EIG to state what my current immigration status is. Also curious about PayPal as I have a phone screen scheduled with Braintree, but prolly not gonna go through with it. They use EIG too.

They don’t share this information across clients due to attorney client confidentiality.

In US it's always employment at will ... No guarantee Twitter won't kick you out. It's very unprofessional to look for a job once you start the H1 transfer. The hiring manager is expecting you to join,he would have stopped or rejected potential good fit ... And they would have used resources to work on H1 transfer case.
I am scared of people like you.

The questionnaire doesn't ask "am I interviewing elsewhere" or "do I have a current ongoing h1b"

Those who are interviewing you at Twitter they are not doing for fun. Why don't u be honest and accept that you are shopping around and join the highest bidder. Stop this modest act.

company wouldn't think twice before laying off op for cost cutting. OP can do whatever he/she wants, you can go fuck your high horse elsewhere.

OP if you're currently on H1 and they're asking your immigration status you can tell you're currently on H1. Twitter attorneys don't need to know about your H1B process with Salesforce, and if the immigration firm discloses this, they'll be violating attorney confidentiality.

It clearly states on my offer letter, "any party can terminate the position at any time for any reason"

So instead, you are going to risk your visa and wasting everyone’s time? I would cancel the offer and the transfer if I found out.

  • You already have an offer from Twitter?
