my first two jobs were start up environments. since then my last two jobs have been at corprate companies. the latest one is a fortune 500. it seems like the big corporate co’s all take forever to get anything done. if i need to build a feature i have to talk to 4 different internal teams to do the most basic stuff. i used to code 6-8 hours a day now its maybe 1 and often times im just sitting around. is this what all the big companies are like?! i want to go back to a startup now. tc: 160
Felt the same . It's true that corporate companies will be totally different than start up. I can very well relate to your concern (4 different teams for one simpl ask and sitting idle syndrome especially if you are new) .But from my reading experience at Blind , fb and Amazon are startups disguised in corporate brands. Bezos says it's always day 1 at Amazon. P.S: I haven't worked for AmaZon or Fb yet , it's just purely from blind
Just use the extra time you have now to learn and don't fall into this bullshit trap of complacency
Get ready to be PIPed at Facebook and Amazon.
Was about to say it haha.
Lol what’s that mean??
