I mean is that just a one time thing or is stuff like that normal at your office. How is the working climate at your company related to things like that?

Nothing wrong with supporting straight people. If you have a problem with that, you might be a heterophobe.

Supporting them? Are they being persecuted or something?

That is funny. Did not know persecution is prerequisite for support.

What’s funny is acting like straight people need “support”. Or pretending that “supporting” traditional marriage is anything other than a shot at the LGBT community.

So if someone posts they support gay marriage - no one thinks it means they don’t support straight marriage. So why double standard?

Because gay marriages are border line illegal and need to be supported, just like minorities need preferrencial treatment.

Not sure why it is not obvious that supporting something that has been persecuted for centuries is not an indication of opposition to the norm. However, explicitly stating you support a norm, esp. if accompanied by modifying phrases associated with supporting the persecuted minorities clearly indicates the opposition to the minority support. e.g. ‘Straight Pride’ written in the end.

Yes, like it or not, co-opting a minority rights viewpoint and applying it to the majority is inherently seen as being anti the cause you took it from.

Wow. So now being straight is a crime.

“Crime” I don’t believe this word means what you think it means.

Support mastabation. Didn't mean to be against straight marriage.

Traditional marriages are public displays of straightness that oppress and demean minorities. We need to stop pushing these fascist ideals.

Last I checked “Traditional marriages” were doing just fine. No one is planning a coup to end traditional marriages. Why does one feel the need to state they support the status quo?

The impression is the problem. By stating you support traditional marriage, it implies you don't support non traditional. Like stating you support white pride, makes you sound racist. Not necessarily the case, but it's the world we now live in.

Buy traditional marriage what do you mean? Traditional marriage is changes ever all the time. For instance that used to mean that the females family would have to pay a dowry.

It’s a dog whistle. They’re basically saying they’re against gay marriage.

It’s like when people say “pro life” it’s just code for “anti abortion.”

Most “traditional” marriages were arranged marriages.
