Google definitely parses the email to deliver personalized ad. Is there a setting to opt out? Please don’t say don’t use gmail then.

Yeah no one likes ads, but at least they can sometimes be useful if they help you discover something relevant. So why would you want to make ads even worse by making them irrelevant to you?

As far as I remember google stopped using emails for targeted ads some time ago. It was done as way to appeal to enterprise customers for paid accounts, but free accounts were also included b/c Google wanted to have uniform policy for all gmail users

Why does it matter? Use an ad blocker extension if you don’t like them / notice them at all.

Targeted ads has made the company billions. Why there is no commission sharing to users who help ad revenues from trafficking and conversions.

Not to mention free access to Google search. People don't think about its value because it's free, but its direct + indirect benefits to you far outweigh how much Google makes from showing you ads.

You know why companies like Google and social media sites exist, right? How they make billions of dollars on a service they offer for free?
