Is this racist?

One of the intuit San Diego execs had a personal BLOG up until a few weeks ago before it was exposed to HR. A few days after HR was alerted all the content was mysteriously removed. http://sdwomenintech.com. Thanks to our friends at the Interwebs it's still available. Next to last paragraph - https://web.archive.org/web/20180827021531/http://sdwomenintech.com/2018/03/31/whats-my-plan/. This thread was on fire. The author just said that intuit hires too many Indians, I don't see anything wrong with that. Wdyt? #maga

Sounds like typical SJW West coast complaining. You can't help one group without bringing down another. Just look at SJWs support for affirmative action even though it puts Asians at an extreme disadvantage.

Without being there it is hard to comment. If it is HER boss, is she Indian? I mean the “everyone” group is pretty big. Seems like blowing off steam to me.

In any country, when immigrants or foreigners take majority of high paying jobs in prestigious company, natives will openly complain. US is no exception. Not justifying hiring or complaining.

Agree! Intuit has too many Indian people. It is difficult to tell weather I am in India or the USA. She is doing the right thing by balancing the org by getting rid of Indians

My manager at intuit is on a roll. She has cleaned out 6 and is plan on getting rid on 14 engineers by the end of May 2019.

Lol even with that I doubt that'll ever fix intuits politics problem and some of the principal engineers that were Indian there were really good engineers. CTO - Dev was a mess. All of Intuit is behind the industry by a lot.

Just my opinion, but if you read it as a whole, she said that her boss treats people in a demeaning way. That she feels it is ok to stand up for her team. I don't know the company situation, but if you take her statement literally, it sounds like people who were not Indian were driven out of the company. She is looking to make it more diverse. I don't see it as racist. She is not actually saying negative things about Indians itself. "there would be women in his organization and everyone would not be Indian.  I just think about everyone who left or was pushed out that was a white male or female."

The message we got from my boss is NO INDIAN irrespective of their sex. We have fired 2 Indian women who will be replaced by white American citizens.

I am probably going to get a lot of flak for this but having mostly Indians in the firm is not good. The politics just seems too excessive. Indians hiring other Indians regardless of their abilities. There's been times where a manager ordered us to give amazing interview ratings on a candidate that I just pray doesn't end up in our team. I'm talking about people who thought the DVD trays on a computer is a coffee cup holder. Maybe it's just a coincidence but a lot of Indian managers discourages people leaving early as in before 7pm. After 5pm you can walk the floor and see most people just pretending to work until it's late enough to leave. Some teams have managers that doesn't do this and the other managers will open complain to upper management that they are leaving too early even though that other team gets way more done. There's been high impact successful projects that I have worked on and there would be all these people patting themselves on the back for a job well done and I never met or even know their names. They certainly didn't contribute anything. Any issues that involves other teams is very difficult to troubleshoot because nobody will give a straight answer on what the problem is. Then finally you figure it out what's at fault then it's a "miscommunication". Am I being racists? Possibly, but I didn't start out thinking this way.

Agree! This is the exact problem we were facing when our fearless leader Michele decided to use #meetoo to kick the Indian leadership out of intuit and Then started the cleansing process. Hopefully by the end of next year we will be all American team working towards filing taxes for America ! I can tell we are in much better shape. If you are an American please apply at Intuit, so that we can expedite the cleansing process. We will be made in America powered by Americans 😀
