Not sure if trolling, but since you’re my son I’ll answer anyways. VP in finance is the third level (Analyst -> Associate -> VP).

It’s tantamount to being a senior manager at most banks. Vice President is a senior role, above director at Amex

Whoa calm down ppl. The titles at JPMC don’t match with the same names as elsewhere. VP @ JPMC is a super wide, ambiguous term spanning “junior manager” to “senior manager” elsewhere. It’s basically a middle management position; salary and responsibilities vary by group and function. Typically product and data analytics would pay slightly higher than marketing. Talk to your recruiter and insiders at JPMC about the range YOU expect to get paid. Remember your true market value is independent of what the title at one company is.

So you don’t have concrete insight? Amex has a salary bad portal that tells you the range for each position and location. You have no idea what the ballpark range is?

$125K is the cap for an Associate role, which is a step below VP. I believe the VP cap is closer to $200K. I’m a VP and between $125K and $175K and I have a lot of upward range remaining.
