Had 3 interviews with JPMC for a new team over the past couple of weeks - recruiter has been ghosting for the past week. Is this a normal time frame? After interviews, don't they at least get back to you? TC: 125k Unrelated: they told me that they had hired several people from GCP and Salesforce to lead the team..how? Can JP actually match salaries that high?
I heard that JPMC's software development is very corporate. Super slow to adopt new technologies, antiquated tech stack, and everyone is treated like a bank employee rather than someone working for a tech company; have to wear a suit everyday and always be smartly dressed, no perks such as free food, low salaries, etc.
I also gave onsite interview last week. They haven't gotten back to me since then
You ever get a reply?
I sent them a mail that I got an offer from another company.. I need an update on what's going on.. still no reply lol
A tech company should start a bank. It's been done on a smaller scale like HSA's.
Mind sharing your experience with them? YOE? What kinda questions did they ask? Role?
How many YOE?
We did hire salesforce Data Science big shot and the google cloud AI lead to the palo alto office particularly, but as always it depends a lot on the team you land. Sadly, we are in the dark age in tech, however 11B spending in tech tend to help on upskilling everything so tech is changing change is being deployed but it will take time.
JPMC is not actually that bad. Dress code here is casual. Stack isn't brand new but everything is past few years technology wise. 5-10 year old systems are being retired. And yeah, around here they will match salaries. They have deep pockets. TC over 140 in low cost area in FL. That being said the bureaucracy is fucking horrible. Infrastructure is a constant struggle. Software development methodology dysfunctional at best. Many developers that have no CS background. Don't know many basics of Java let alone algos or data structures. It's a good place to raise a family and work a 9-5. WLB is fantastic, get heaps of vacay, great bennies and retirement, etc. But don't come here after college and stay too long, you'll pick up bad habits.
Sounds like things are improving! If only the recruiter didn't ghost for the past 2 weeks..
