Did any idiots actually believe Alibaba would ever create 1 million US jobs? The Swiss cheese of Cloud security. Not that I really like Amazon, but Alibaba has zero chance of displacing them and only a foolish Enterprise would entrust their data on Alibaba - government customers will never go with Alibaba.

I think that was just some throwaway PR talk on Ma's part. Amazon itself barely hires over 500k people.
Ma said he will create 1m jobs, not hire 1m ppl. There is a huge difference.
