https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LP80jo1_UgU Ted Jorgensen discovered his son was Jeff Bezos when a biographer writing a book about Jeff Bezos contacted him. He was about to die and wanted to see his son one last time. He died and Jeff's only comment was, "I've never met him...the only time I ever think about it is when the doctor asks me to fill out a form." Do you think Jeff is a monster? Maybe he was jealous his father had more hair.
So what? Lots of adopted and estranged people don't want to talk to their biological parents.
Steve Jobs was one of them.
Not a monster. His father wasn't his Dad and Jorgensen has only himself to blame.
You should be put on PIP for not making this a poll
Possibly a monster for other reasons, but not this.
depends on why he didn’t raise his own son
Coz he realized his son was a monster? 🤔
^^^ this.
Monster for other reasons but this, I don't know. But, I personally would never say no to meet a dying person even if unrelated. We're all in this world for a short run.
Basically it was Jeff’s way of saying an actual “fuck you” to the man who didn’t give a shit about him for so long. Denying him that pleasure.
Reminds of that one Who wants to be a millionaire episode
Considering his dad didn’t want anything to do with his son, why should Jeff care when he was dying? Lol
I generally avoid throwing labels around, so I'll refrain from using the word 'monster', but I knew this guy was devoid of basic principles after reading 'The Everything Store' and learning about the way he treated employees. Combined with the fact that as the richest man in the world, he chose to treat the issue of charity as a publicity stunt, polling for ideas on what causes he should donate to; then predictably doing nothing. When someone has access to that level of resources and has the potential to change the lives of many, and chooses to treat the issue so flippantly, that is a big signal of who he is. He is basically more focused on hoarding wealth and making sure he outranks everyone as the World's Richest. I wasn't aware of how he'd treated his father. But that certainly aligns with how he's conducted himself thus far. Other details of his personal life only serve to round out the picture.
No he is not. Just giving birth doesn’t necessarily make you a mother or a father.
He was with him until Jeff was a pimply teenager.
Again, so what? That's not any of our business.
