I have already accepted offer from uber for SWE2(TC 284K). Should I join Uber? Current TC: 230K

Depends on your situation. How big is your pay raise? Are you on a work visa? IMO when you are interview prepared, it's not hard to find another job.

The $5B was mostly due to the IPO and their stock based compensation expense. They still lost around $600M so not great, and the California legislature is one vote away from redefining employee vs independent contractor which could cost Uber another $500M a year, so yeah, still not great.

Seems like the right thing to do. Either all jobs should be forced to pay min wage or no jobs should be forced to pay. Uber is just an arbitrage business model
