Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
Starting at Facebook London next week. Advice would be appreciated!
Learn the expectation matrix for your role. PSC (performance cycles) are intense at FB. The goal is to drive impact through your work and to choose projects that align to the expectation criteria you are performing against.... but also writing your own review in a way that makes it crystal clear for your manager to know how you are (hopefully) exceeding expectations. Good luck!
Thanks for this! Is there a documentation for the expectation matrix?
Yup look for it on the wiki once you get there. Should be easy to find 👍
No matter what, don't jump off the building.
I will keep that in mind
If you get a chance, transfer to MPK ASAP. London E6 has lower TC than MPK/SEA E5.

Was looking for this. Only correct option.
FB pay in Lon is amazing compared to other tech companies ..Congrats! 1. Get clear on expectations with your manager, make sure they are invested in you 2. Understand the 4 axes of evaluation 3. Join a team with a strong TL ...observe the behaviors 4. Fast Feedback is a real thing everyone prides themselves on here ...the culture in this company is a real living breathing thing ...observe first and then jump in.
What is TL please?
