Does Microsoft provide proof of approval for H1B change of employer petition before onboarding? I have been authorised to join MX but haven't received any information whether my case has been approved or otherwise. My guess is that authorization is based on the receipt notice. Is it advised to join MX based on that? I haven't informed my current employer yet and the 15 days for premium processing of H1B application are also done. Should I just join based on the authorization or postpone my joining? What should I do?
Ask them receipt number and check status on uscis site
Sorry but i read the company name as “douche bank “
What is the difference between receipt notice vs approval notice?
Eh?
?
Don’t join on receipt
Wait for approval. Do not join on receipt.
Ask them to upgrade your case to premium. Worst case you will have to pay premium cost. Still better than joining before approval.
It was done on premium processing already. Been waiting for hear back from Microsoft. They are like if you want to know the approval scenario it would take time. I don't understand why
Have asked them for the receipt number. Will probably check it and then make a decision. Joining on receipt does sound scary. thats the reason I haven't informed my current employer as well
did they give you the receipt number? and was the authorization to onboard based on receipt number or approval? msft is filing my h1 this week and i don’t wanna give notice at current employer based on receipt
I joined on receipt , had no issues and got my visa approved the same day of joining .Having said that I went in with the risk of getting an RFE.
Could you please provide your background if possible.. like you have a Bachelors in CS or Masters in CS..
As long as your position is engineering and it matches your education background and your company is a big tech employer, you are good to join on receipt. Never seen rejection for this kind.
