How is Okta? I've heard that they have decent work life balance, decent opportunity to grow and make money. I am considering a job offer there. Does anyone know how much they offer at Staff/Principal/Architect level?
One of my friends interned there this past summer and seems to have learned a lot
Interns are dumb, shit work is given to them but they think they learned a lot
Having personally worked with many of our interns in the past I can confidently say that they are neither “dumb” nor are they given “shit work” to do. Individual experiences will vary, but in general they are given a solid project to work on with the aim to have it deployed to production (or on its way there) by the time they finish their internship. Some really good stuff comes out of their internships and many return as an FTE the following summer.
They are definitely enterprise driven and have a great slice of the market!
You can get the equivalent of Google L6-L7 at Okta architect level.
Staff is around 160 and architect around 180. Not sure about stock though.
