Just 2 months into new job, calls from G/F, ideas ?

I am just 2 months into a new job. Got pings from Google and Facebook recruiters - was rejected at both places last year.

In two minds - have never been for less than 2.5 years at any company so far. But it’s Google/FB after all , and they will provide a hefty hike for my levels (E5/E6). 14 YOE.

Asking the question because preparation for G/F takes time and effort - if I am not up for it, I will right away say no to the recruiter

First get G/F offer, then worry about it.

getting a call from G/F is different from getting an offer from G/F. you should worry about your question once you have the latter

Why do think you'd do better this time around?
Btw, when you're referring to a quantity (in this case, years), use "less" instead of "lesser". The latter refers to qualitative differences.

Know exactly where I messed up, was very sub-optimally prepared last time. And was not a disaster as discussed with the recruiter, just not up to the mark

Lol. The grammar Nazi always gets it wrong. For numeric entities it ought to be fewer. Now GTFO Nazi.

And prep would help you in life either way. Use this opportunity.

Stay for a year before interviewing so you have plenty of time to prep. Also, leaving the current company after a few months is pretty shitty.

Don’t worry about the current company. They would lay you off in a heartbeat if it served them. At your YoE your TC can be much higher - go for it.

What are asking exactly?? If you had an offer from g/fb right now, would you move? There is your answer.

Give it a shot if you want to join them at a later point. If you don’t get through at least you’ll be better prepared for next time.

What’s your current company? Depends on brand
