My son is very smart and learning to code. im helping (I’m a engineer). are there startup situations he could get involved with where he’s learning as he goes?
How old is he? Could he start working on open-source projects? How about starting app portfolios? Lots of things to do without companies!
Let kids be kids.
I think learning to code is a great father & son activity.
Early exposure to coding? Guaranteed way to mediocrity.
Zuck,Bill and woz must be dumb asf
Zuck was probably not a great coder. Bill was. He didn’t get early exposure not until high school. No idea about woz. At what age did he write his first code? Also, their case is not like todays situation. They were at the early age if computing. They had to be very good because the barrier of entry was too high. Zuck knew some php and stuck with it. Your kid might be stu k with python.
online course or bootcamp
If you are an engineer, you could teach him the techniques associated with fundamental aspects of engineering (such as listed below) which will help him whether he gets into coding or not: (1) Defining the objective or the problem to be solved. (2) Establishing a process, such as a flowchart. (3) Deciding between multiple options. (4) Understanding (and embracing) the constraints of time and cost. Good luck
