Went onsite again for an interview and got all optimal solutions. Interviewers seemed happy. Feedback was strong for coding and sys design. Recruiter reverted back with bad feedback from lunch interview and behavioral. Didn't get offer. Not sure how to improve lunch interview skills. What is the leetcode for lunch interviews? Advice welcome.
Don’t fart during lunchtime.
Is it something to do with what you ordered for lunch ? :)
Don’t pull out a pocketknife to clean your teeth.
Bad breath?
Don't get too much food just because it's free. Don't eat like a child either and only get chicken tenders
Few things I have heard people complaining, candidate was not independent enough to choose an item and needed help in the cafeteria.I think it would be better to go with some Simple item on menu That you can finish quickly. Regarding conversations, it’s your time to ask question. Ask some friendly simple questions technical or non technical. At the end of the day, It really depends on person to person.
That’s BS ... I come from a start up, so I need help in the cafeteria and I want a to choose my item carefully... that should not count against you ../
Obvious BS... Even if it did happen. Candidate needed help in the cafeteria... Seriously so what.
I've never had to provide feedback as a lunch interviewer, so I assumed other companies did that too, but my last two lunch interviews were with the hiring managers... Guess I should've known better.
I guess it depends on what level you're being hired for? I think some high level roles, use lunch interviews like phone screen, I assume you would need to prep for it the same way? Not sure, only assuming...
Happens to tons of people on here. Everyone is under estimating the lunch interview.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
