My L1-B Visa will expire in few months. I am eligible for moving to L1-A. Is it possible to stay in US and switch to L1-A without going out for stamping? During my previous L1-B renewal, lawyers advised me to go out and come back - and preferably home country to avoid Visa rejection issues.
Also, how can you switch from L1B to L1A without having managerial experience in your home country?
Yes - ‘if he was a manager overseas’ then it is fine.
If you move to L1A while being in USA you will loose your leverage to get GC within 1 year..

Assuming that you finished 5 years on L1B, you will need to leave US and come back on L1A status once your L1A petition gets approved by USCIS.
