Had interview at consulates last Wednesday in London. How long to get my passport back cause i need it to travel. Checking DS-160 from website and it keeps telling me that my visa is under “Administrative Processing” which is confused and means something else (administrative processing usually means they beed additional info which takes much longer). Weird thing is that i got no receipt after the interview. The officer just kept my docs. Is this something normal?
Usually, they should tell you, during the interview, if the visa was approved. If they said it would have to go through administrative processing then there's no predicting how long that would take

Google CFO confirms "large-scale" layoffs today (Apr 17)
Hey it could mean a host of things. It could be some trivial issue like visa printing machine not working properly/too much of rush and therefore might take a day extra. It could also mean that USCIS wants to dig deeper into your L1 application (which would be less likely since you work for a very reputable company) Don’t want to be the pessimist here but the consulate does ask people NOT to make concrete travel plans until the visa is at hand.
