Had my onsite interview at Google Mountain View office last week- one interviewer who is the director of the hiring team and most senior guy amongst all interviewers (I believe) had to cancel last minute. Recruiter said if I pass onsite, there would be one more interview with this person. Now recruiter came back and said the results were positive so he would schedule the last interview online. Question: have anyone had the similar experience? I assume this one might be the most important one.. Are there particular areas I need to focus on in the last interview with the big boss of the hiring group? Thanks for sharing!
Yes
Best luck to u!
Google isn't like Microsoft. The last interviewer isn't special, they were just the last interviewer of the day. None of the interviewers will be on your team.
Skip level interview didn’t feel that different than any of the others when I had my Program Manager set recently.
OP, just curious, what does a typical marketing interview look like? Is there problem solving? Or a creativity test of sorts?
Had my interview today. Now nervous about results
Got email back from recruiter- says he wants to have a quick chat to “talk through next steps”. Can’t tell if it is a yay or nay. Anyone who got the same wording? I have a lot of work going on right now. Don’t like the suspense :(
Next steps, so plural, sounds good. Otherwise it would only be one, the no
How did it turn out OP? Just read your thread and am curious
Read Lazlo Bock’s articles online how to impress in such an interview e.g. explain you resume not as a statistics of stages in your career but where you came from and hoe you developed it what you are today and why e.g. passion for something. Googlyness, smart mind, team player will be challenged too
Thanks! Will check it out
