Layoffs
To all the people out there who work for a company with employees always on edge about when the layoffs will happen, I feel for you. Layoffs suck, but the anxiety before layoffs is worse. And after it happens, it’s like a huge weight off your shoulders. I saw on Blind that SoFi and Snapchat also just had layoffs. Good luck to everyone there who got laid off as well.
I’ve heard rumors of layoffs at Postmates, so it’s good to know the anxiety of it is worse than when it actually happens.
I guess the truth of that would depend on the severance package.
The moral, draining and depression of layoffs season has always effected my teams’ commitments and drive.

So what was it ... An infinite while loop because of a fouled sensor ? Please counter loop it... Tell me you don't have an infinite while loop that will full throttle plains into the ground! And they farmed it out at $8 per hour. What a freaking insult !! Either they don't care , or they're playing pin the blame on India .... both possibilities suck !

I used to work at a top financial firm and layoffs were an yearly thing. Mostly bad performance or if there was no need for an individual were the ones targeted. However, it was draining and stressful on everyone.
Cisco lives and breath that culture.
Why the hell do we lay off IT people... They write code that little electronic slaves called computers execute basically for free ... Why would you ever dump a programmer... You lack creativity....
At amazon, we have weekly layoffs lol
Oracle goes through RIFs constantly. It's very draining.
