Learning coding logic as a PM

Okay so I’ve academically done some coding but never professionally. I want to increase my fluency in coding and languages to improve my skill set as a Product Manager. However! I’m not looking to learn a new language or do leetcode or anything. I’d be kidding myself if I ever thought I would learn enough to make myself useful as an Engineer. I’m looking for a resource that provides the right level of specificity for use as a Product Manager - so understanding systems and the logic of software development. Anybody have any good ideas/resources? I realize I’ll probably get trolled hard on this one, but genuinely want to know!

Take system design courses online or read up some books on it. It’ll provide a top down approach and you won’t need to get granular. It’ll help make decisions down the line, when code doesn’t really matter and the logic of the system as a whole does.

I'm fond of udacity. They provide good guidance and breadth. I think it's great for a PM because you'd learn a lot so that you can understand what is going on. It will try to teach you another language but they make it easy. Also crash course computer science on YouTube is good. It won't teach coding but will give you much more breadth at the sacrifice of depth.

Why dont you just talk to the devs and ask them?

This. Make a friend on the Dev team. They’ll point you in the right direction of what you should focus on for your space.

Oh I definitely am very close with them and have learned a ton about it, and also our tech stack. Although (I think) I learn quickly, I wanted to out ahead of this so I don’t have to ask so many questions.
