Interviewed with OCI and have an offer for 330k and PMTS. Currently SDE2 in AWS, Seattle. YOE 6.5. TC 220K. Might get promoted to SDE3 this quarter. Stay or leave? Haven't negotiated the offer yet.

Oci is a step down, unless your work is better there compared to a spoke in AWS cogs wheels

Once the better gig is on your resume who cares? Take the higher TC

You have concern about oci future after getting more than 100k bump but had no problem interviewing in the first place?

Humans, sometimes are hard to understand.

In my experience "might" get promoted is meaningless.

OCI seems obvious from comp. We are you hesitating, do you have a concern?

      Primarily, uncertainty of OCI's future.

I think the future if OCI is stable at least for foreseeable future. The reality is Oracle future is based on the success if OCI, so they are not going to give up easily.

OCI and GCP are only viable option challenging current duopoly, and I don't think either will back down.

Go to oci as pmts. Once your bored there try in MS as pmts. Better than struggling for another 2y in sde2 !

Concern here what if he or his team got fired at OCI, given its bleak future
