Why not? Anything in particular that you see as a red flag

Verizon cTrnM8e2 Sep 18, 2019

No I just like Amazon

What are your reasons?

Compensation might be better at Twitter? Here its like a contract and works well for r years, beyond that its shit. Other than that I am just looking for a change now, could look within Amazon but I thought experiencing different cultures would help me as an engineer

My teammate went to twitter, he is liking it there. But I would say Amazon as well as twitter are too big to generalize though I agree that sometimes culture is contagious thing. Your best bet is to get to know more about the team you expecting to join then be it internal transfer or at twitter.

Absolutely

Why do you say so? Any pointers would help

Working for amzn is slavery. All the RSUs will vest in the 3rd and 4th year. They will crush your soul in the first 2 years so that you don’t stay for the stock to vest. Good luck

Current TC and offer from Twitter would help us decide

Makes sense. I will add more details when I have them.

I personally would. Nothing wrong with Amazon, but I've been happier since I moved to Twitter. Plenty of interesting work I've been able to lead, and they seem to train the managers to keep ICs happy because mine seems pretty invested in my growth.

Thank you.

Yes sir, better comp, better food, better perks, better culture. Why not?

Moved from Amazon to Twitter and loving it. Like someone said above, better comp, better culture, better responsibility, better managers and yes awesome food :). Every case is different though. Depends what's your current situation in Amazon is and what twitter is offering you.

Mind sharing your level at amazon and level at Twitter?

Amazon day1 Nov 15, 2019

Why does level matter to you ? If you're getting paid more, writing more impactful code, working in a better environment then why does the level matter ?

Amazon ypWG56 Nov 15, 2019

I am planning to move as well . I want to know how levels compare across these companies

Levels.fyi gives a pretty good indication.
