I left my first job in 6 months of joining. The work was good but the pay was way less. I have been in Microsoft for 5 months. Pay is less than FANG and work is not exciting. Will it okay if i start interviewing now with Google, Uber and Airbnb or its too early to leave?
Don't do it for the short term gain. It might hurt it if you have to find another job
You need an offer first 😊
Lol. Also the interviewers will be suspicious as to why you’re leaving after only 6months
Did you really leave of your own volition? Seems like back fitting a reason.
Do you have experiences that are over 6 months? I would think it's a red flag to quit two companies in less than a year unless you've got tons of other experience.
I’m leaving after 10 months. It just wasn’t the right fit, pay was too low, and they weren’t following through with the terms of the employment contract. I was surrounded by angry coworkers that would find reasons not to work or come in doubling my hours and workload. My boss was taking credit for my work and rarely visited the office. I had to resign just to use my paid time off. Why would anyone stay? I wouldn’t frame it that way when looking for work, but I’d say that qualifies as a bad fit. Sometimes you can’t sacrifice your health for the sake of a little more time. If you’re not in a bad place, then take your time. Believe me, there are a lot worse situations out there.
