LeetCode Schedule for a Grad Student

Hello ! I am a grad student and recently got done with a summer internship. But, all the interns are kept “hanging” for the return offer. As in not even one intern has a concrete YES or NO for the full time. I am now back to school taking 9 credits in the Fall semester and don’t wanna wait for their call on the return offer. I would wanna ask everyone, how should I go about leetcoding if I plan on targetting a new grad swe positions at big players in the tech? When should I start interviewing? Any schedule or advices?

Buy the book elements of programming interviews. Do the whole study guide. Then LC the rest of the way. Then get a referal from someone when you are ready to start interviewing. This worked for me. Joining Google soon.

If you have enough time to prepare, I suggest going through 200~300 Leetcode questions (30/50/20) split on easy/medium/hard questions. I would go through CTCI (Cracking the coding interview) book. For G, this can help you: https://www.rooftopslushie.com/request/Google-SWE-Interview-Tips-10

Isn't grad recruiters already started looking for people?

Oracle heisenbrg OP Aug 22, 2019

Yeah. They’ve. The thing is I am not all in touch with leetcode from like past 4 months! And that’s the thing I am most worried about!

Depends on which company. Usually phone interview is on the level of LC easy to medium. Not difficult at all. If they start with online coding challenges, they are even easier. Don't worry about it. Start talking to recruiters so you don't miss the recruitment.

What about the Stanford algorithms courses, any good in this context?
