I’m 40+ IC SWE and planning to move out. Am I a loser to still be doing leetcode at this stage and age of my career? Tc 400k L66
kinda. why aren’t you retired?
Not a loser. With 400k it’s not that easy to retire at 40 specially if you’re raising s family as well. Don’t listen to those people op, you’re fine. I did LC this year and I’m getting close to my 40.
maybe not retired at 40 but cruising for another year or two to retirement
Your TC states that you are not a loser.
What has Blind done to the community that a senior pulling 400k thinks like this.
L66 is Principal. Unless you’re talking about OP’s age
Professional musicians still practice their scales
OP where you want to move? Isn't $400k and our wlb a sweet deal?
At your level, you are going to interview for E6/T6 in F/G, for example. Leetcode won't bring you an E6 offer. System design and career interviews are far more important than coding. You gotta code of course. But the companies won't hire you for coding. Apply for your speiciliized area. Don't apply for a random general SW.
Each coding I had to solve 2 problems, 4 total. 5 interviews total in a day.
Just retire at that TC-your making more than most directors at medium level companies

Why do you chase prestige?
Nope you are not. Leetcode = problem solving, not mugging up the solution just. Also for your experience their will be more design problems, I think. Btw respect for being able to code at 40+.
What's this about coding at 40+? I know a ton of badass devs older than that.
