Levels.fyi - how are they determined

How are the equivalence of levels determined in the levels.fyi? Is this based on stock / tc or something else. It seems very odd that Pmts at salesforce is at mid sde 3 at amzn.

Not sure how the estimates are reported, but you'd probably be better off looking at the user-reported section. That should give you a more accurate look at what the average is.

OP - I had the same reaction when I first saw those. The Salesforce levels seem off.

What do you think it should be then ?

Salesforce KOWz82 OP Jul 18, 2018

IMO Lmts is overlapping Sde3 and creeping into L7. pmts would be squarely matching most of L7 at Amazon, L65-66 at Msft and so on...But that’s just my opinion... wonder what the industry thinks about it as a whole...

I think whoever submitted the company initially sets them.

I believe the same. LMTS is SDE3 and low end of L7. I even reported to them. They didn’t do much.
