Even China has abandoned commusim in its core and only kept its name because they have learned from practice that it's a disaster to the economy and society as a whole. Liberals in this country picked it up because it's easier to get votes that way than doing the hard work to contribute to the economy and long term prosper of the country.
Another example of ignorant self identified conservative.
Weren’t you fired from Google for writing the echo chamber piece?
I wouldn't be so foolish to do something like this in a professional environment. I am hired to do my job, not discuss idealism.
I’m a Marxist. Liberals are, by definition, not communists. They think the system could work.
Please tell us the pros & cons of Marxism. Change my mind.
Don't you think you'd be better off researching it yourself than relying on information provided by someone trying to change your mind?
I’ve researched it quite enough to know the inception levels of complexity that need to be achieved or society crumbles. What don’t I know?
Communism is about a planned society, ie, central planning. How is liberalism communism? I would think liberalism is based on empathy, and trying to ensure everyone gets their fair shake in an inherently unfair world.
One has to be clear about the theoretical communist world and what Soviet Russia and China achieved. A capitalist society with govt oversight and a good safety net is probably the best way. The us is not the best because there's too much "if you were unlucky enough to have been born to poor parents you are screwed".
“communism” has nothing - on an essential level - to do with central planning; the US military and the economies of nationalist regimes during the Cold War were “centrally planned” - the UK had many major industries as nationalized as those industries were in the USSR. Some level of central planning was common in both sides of the Cold War. Marx even called such top-down schemes “spurious socialism” because for him all that mattered for socialism/communism was working class power. “communism” is a society without classes or formal power hierarchies or nation-states (since Marxists believe nations are more or less the way rulers divide up their turf) so that’s telling of the ideological gymnastics that the Stalinist countries had to use to call hierarchical nationalist regimes: “socialism in one country”.
Unless you once lived in communists China or Russian, you have not experienced what really was a communism society. My parents have lived through it in their lives, and I heard their stories. Let me tell you it is shameful, ignorant, and simply the dumbest thing I have ever heard, that you compare the liberalism here to communism. You probably had too good of a life here.
Republicans believe that only their influence stops liberals from pulling country in all sorts of horror scenarios like the ones you have mentioned.
I was born and raised in China. And I seriously considered joining the Communist Party and was only one step away from it. And I pulled out my application because I realized that I couldn't convince myself of this idealism and no communist party member actually believed in it. And yes, the liberals are trying to go to the direction of communism, just in a different form than the Chinese did.
Трамп! МАГА!
Dude, as someone who grew up during communism, and whose family all but perished in uranium mines , you’re incredibly misguided. Some 50 years ago the likes of you thought that mixed race marriages were communism. Stop throwing the word around, you’re ignorant. you’re ignorant even as to just how ignorant you are. You know how to read. Educate yourself, it’s incredible that we’ve reached a level of our society when a literate person can be so illiterate.
👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
Lol, COMMUNISM vs CAPITALISM is not binary dude! Liberals in this country advocate some socialistic policies because USA is probably a lot capitalistic. I will ask you a simple question: Do you think having a public police force in US communistic ? Or should only rich people have private militia to protect themselves ? It is good to have liberal, conservative and all other voices in a democratic setup, where ppl debate, advocate their thoughts and finally proceed in some (hopefully good) path ahead
You have no idea about communism
Didn’t trump kiss Putin’s ass?
And did you already forget which country was responsible for Cuba missile crisis? Who was the commie then?
Don’t you know, Trump just closed Russian embassy in Seattle and sent home 60 diplomats, also pulled another set of sanctions on russian executives and oligarchs. Is that looks like kissing someone ass?
