Life after FAANG
Most of us aren’t going to be lifers, so what’s after FAANG? Let’s assume you’ve done a few years at a couple of them, have reached terminal level, and still far from retirement age. So what’s next? CTO or VP at a smaller company? Start your own company? Or do you just stay because you can’t find same TC elsewhere?
Thinking about starting my own but boy ideas are easy to have but you gotta make your business profitable sigh hard. I just don’t know how to get people to use my website.

Start your own thing, focus on IP/new tech (can be a small niche area) and perhaps it will get acquired by some FAANG or other tech giant.
Start your own thing if you grow tired of having a boss. Stay if you're risk averse or seek stability.
If you start something your users and if you are lucky, board members are your boss
