Im in the process of interviewing for a Global Marketing role at Qualcomm in San Diego (just had my initial call yesterday which went really well), and am curious if anyone has any insight into the culture? I have an old colleague who worked in a different dept who expressed their team culture was not ideal. As a global organization rooted in innovation, I havent been able find a trace of anything online!

The market is very very mature, Qualcomm chips sell themselves. Marketing's role is pretty invisible in the company.
This is not generally true. From what i see PdM plays a very important role in all the feature decision process. Some good product marketing lay out multi-year roadmap for technology teams as well.
QCT and QTL rule the company
From what I've heard from an ex co-worker who worked there they try to work you to death.
Qualcomm? No way. Qualcomm job is like a government job. Maybe some engineering group is like that. Definitely not marketing.
I love Qualcomm. Much better than my time at Amazon.

How old are you? Alas I am only in my twenties so I ended up leaving, but if you're old it's pretty nice of a place to chill out. Also san diego is beautiful. I like to go back to visit like once every few years.
I’m 29, going on 30 in January! So relatively established and pass entry level roles. Is there specific feedback you have on being my age at Qualcomm? Are the old cats pretty established and there’s not much room for growth?
