How is life at Yelp as an engineer? Good work/life balance? Is the tech stack modern? Are people motivated and energized?
Yelp is getting a little creepy. Pushing their delivery and takeout portals really hard. When I click on the phone number for takeout, I have to tell yelp why, and then the call is recorded through Yelp
Wlb is generally pretty good, better than the rest of the industry from what I've heard, surprised people have heard differently. Everything else depends on the platform and team. It's an older company so there are still some old technologies floating around.
To be fair, I last heard that WLB sucked in 2015 and assumed that it's still the case, based on the Glassdoor reviews. Updated my comment above
Nice. Yeah, lately I’ve been hearing great things about WLB. Are people generally motivated and excited to work there? How is the office?

I heard directly in 2015 that WLB sucks at Yelp, but am not sure if that's still true. Not sure about the rest
Wlb?
