Anyone have any experience or thoughts on living in, and careers, in Denver? Have a aggressive offer from a startup (funded by a fortune 20 company) based in Denver. The job could be a great next step, but don’t know much about Denver as a place to live (tech scene, quality of life, family, schools, etc).
If you like outdoor activities Colorado and Denver are great.
Tech scene -- budding I have Quality of life -- depends on what you seek. So elaborate. You MUST know how to drive in snow. Family -- decent. Elaborate on your family's needs. Schools -- decent. Stick to the right neighborhoods. Current and offered TOC, YoE ? Where are you located now?

Google CFO confirms 'large-scale' layoffs (Apr 17)
There's not much of a tech scene in Denver, though nearby Boulder has a Google office, has SendGrid, etc. As quality of life goes, though, Denver can't be beat. Beautiful city, friendly people, close to the outdoors, family friendly, good schools, etc. If I felt like I could maintain good career progression and move to Denver, I'd do it in a heart beat. Are your weighing an SWE role?
Gusto has a pretty big office there
Facebook, slack, and amazon all have offices in Denver. There are tons of startups in Denver too.
