Anyone worked here? How is it? Do they take less than senior Candidates?
LinkedIn NYC doesn't have any junior software engineering positions AFAIK, that pipeline is filled by return interns. But if you have 2+ years of work experience you should interview for Senior Engineer it's equiv to E4/SDE2.
Uh, no... It's highly unlikely that you can join as a senior with 2 yrs experience. It is, however, possible to get hired as entry level, then get promoted to senior in 2 years. Plus, the LNKD senior band is anywhere from 2 yrs to 15 yrs experience. It overlaps with E5/L5—however little the overlap is.
What kind of packages (base and stock) are we looking at for a new senior (assuming I could get hired)? I have about 3 years of experience and am interested.
Not sure it they're hiring "less than senior" engineers, but there are non-senior engineers in the NYC office.
Do you work in the NYC office? What kind of stuff do they work on? Do they get the same perks as the HQ?
No, I don't work in the NY office. I don't know what the majority of them work on. I have worked on >1 project with the NY engineers, and they're awesome. I'm sure they have similar perks as the HQ, and get treated just as well!
