Going through interviews at LinkedIn for RM role. What does the career path for sales at LinkedIn look like? Are there many exit opportunities later with other large tech firms (MS, Oracle, Salesforce, AWS, etc.)
MSFT exit is very rare, I know of just one person but I think it’s more because of the fact that LinkedIn sales folks don’t want to go there.
Exits to traditional SAAS companies you listed is also rare and I think that’s a combination of what I said above and perhaps those companies not valuing LinkedIn sales experience - not based on facts, just my opinion.
I see more exits to smaller start ups for bigger titles. Also there have been waves of Slack and WeWork exits in the past.
Career path will depend on which lob you join and which level you’re joining at. . Talent Solutions is pretty saturated and there are very few global account management or key account management roles that open up. Also they usually have 5 people waiting that are highly qualified. Not so sure about the other lobs.
It’s good dude, less stressful than other enterprise sales roles I’ve had in the past. More work though because it’s a 100% account management which means there are many non selling activities you have to do as part of the job.
Not sure what you mean by the mobility options? Move between cities/countries? Yes, they’re pretty cool about that.

awesome, thanks for the response! How have you liked working there in sales? Are there pretty good mobility opportunities within LinkedIn?
