I had LinkedIn on-site interview, there were 7 rounds, I think I did great, the DS round interviewer there itself said I did solid in his round, the telephonic round feedback was one of the best they have seen(that’s what recruiter said). Next day recruiter said the feedback is good and he is hoping for best. But day after I was told HC rejected and it was a tough decision for them. WTF. No feedback nothing.... why they had to reject, if the feedback is good and already they are having hard time hiring engineers. Honestly I was not even impressed with some of the interviewers, they didn’t even seem so good technically. What is the HC looking for????
+1
Sometimes everything looks easy and you just get rejected.
Nice pic, at least the person knows what happened there.
Yeah you can blame Lebron too 😂.
OP I’m not sure if this is the right time to ask this question, but I have Linkedin phone interview scheduled in two weeks so jus wanted to know What role were you interviewed for? How were the DS and Design rounds ? How many years of experience do you have?
Most likely the average rating from the interviewers was right at the edge of hire and no hire, and the hc found no strong reason to push the ratings towards the hire side.
Yes I guess
Interview was Friday n recruiter told me this late Monday evening
We have rules to give feedback within 24 hours, so recruiter should able to see all submitted feedbacks after one business day. Btw, when I finish onsite with LinkedIn, recruiter told me that there is no reason that I could not pass HC given the feedback they saw, so I guess op is around the border line.
If I had to guess, maybe they didn’t like your personality. You sound kinda arrogant from your post
Well I am not so pissed off generally but they really put me on edge here, recruiter said everyone liked talking with you.
Yeah LinkedIn puts a real emphasis on culture fit. One of my friends was rejected and explicitly told he passed the technical bar but that he "was excited enough about the company" Also had another rejected likely for an off color joke and he is now running a divison at this startup that is taking off LinkedIn is one of the few companies I feel in SV that you can really crush it technically but if even one person gets a bad vibe from you you'll get rejected.
Exactly same happened with me, I got good feedbacks and the HC rejected me, the recruiter told me that the manager who took my profile to HC fought hard but couldn’t make it and that it was very close decision. I am feeling damn bad about it.
Come to Uber
Dude, you're getting really annoying.
I would like to, but somehow I am not able to get in the radar of an Uber recruiter. They are not calling me.
