Hoping to hear from some LinkedIn engineers about how MSFT is handling the acquisition so far. Has MSFT left LI alone, leaving the engineering culture in tact, or do you guys sense MSFT is taking things over and will soon make it the MSFT way?
Oh the first thing they did was AWS to abzure migration, immediately slowing the site down, fucked up the UI and the feed.
LI employees doesn’t use ms badge or ms email domain. It’s like a separate company. More like a partnership.
Ugh it's a mess don't bother
Our SVP became the CTO of Microsoft. That's about it 🤔 I haven't really noticed much else (so far)—day-to-day hasn't changed.
Does LinkedIn have a good engineering culture? I know their stock pay is higher. That'll probably be stripped away soon once they stop growing. That's the shitty msft way, lol
Anyone heard about Lynda engg team?
Yeah being laid off getting 2 month severance package. That?
Yes. Weren't they given an option to move to Sunnyvale?
What is MSFT?
