LinkedIn vs Uber mid-level roles

Received an offer, need to decide wrt comp but also impact, work-life balance, leadership, compelling work etc. Both offices in San Francisco. Would appreciate any advice.

EOY- 4 yrs+ (not core-product)

LI (mid-level)
Total comp- 205.5K
Base 135K
Perf cash bonus 10%
RSU 250K (4 year vesting period, 25% in year 1)
Willing to give a joining cash bonus.

Uber (L4)
Total comp- 205.5K (and after adding new hire grant is 270K)
Base 139.5K
Target cash bonus 13.5K
Target equity refresh 52.5K (105K over 4 years)
New hire grant 6400 RSU 65k (259K over 4 years)
No joining cash bonus
(Added advantage- walking distance from home)

      Reads: 105K represents 50% of vested earnings realized over a 4 year period.

    • Uber has more potential upside. LinkedIn is pretty stale and can be very political (depending on teams but there are more often than not). Many good colleagues left for Uber but we rarely get ex Uber here which means something

    Walking distance would be the clincher for me. It will add so much to your QOL. The chances of not getting some sort of payout for Uber stock are pretty close to nil at this point, so I would be comfortable with making that tradeoff financially. That initial grant still seems low considering LI's equity is liquid, especially given that MSFT stock has been tearing it up and shows no signs of slowing down
