Have done ~200 leet code.
2 internships
3.6 gpa
1 hackathon
Treasurer of programming club (and we are sending some of our members to Grace hopper next week)

Have Android experience from internships. Learning web development from current internship and just began going through Odin project.

This is for the entry level role that just opened up. Working my hardest to start my career off well and move to the Seattle area. Would greatly appreciate someone helping me along that path.

Thank you.

Actively interviewing at a few companies: Google, Amazon, visa, chase, Bloomberg, opendoor, ATT, Ford

@LeetPro, Amazon SDM here - most teams I know of, are not looking for L4 SDEs (entry level). Do you mind DMing me, if you are exploring AMZN.

What's the YOE needed for L5 SDEs?

FB was also not looking for entry level SDEs. Is this a common trend now?

@1u2ir8v3f7, I dont think there is a bias against Jr Engineers. For an organization to be healthy, you are looking at a right mix of Sr/Jr engineers.

      Amazon seems to recommend 1 SDE3: 3 SDE2 : 3 SDE1 ratio. A 2-pizza team should typically have these 7 engineers + 1 QA/SDET + 1 SDM / 1 TPM / 1 PM so like a 10-11 member unit.

Most teams I see are extremely lopsided, they seldom have the SDE3, they have 1-2 SDE2s that are struggling to play the higher role, and 5-6 SDE1s who are mostly college transplants.

I recommend Jr Engineers to pay attention to the org structure (and how long folks have been there) - points to the stability of the team.

I know a few teams looking for L4s as they have been diligent with their ratios so far and are possibly expecting a Q3 / Q4 promotions for few of their engineers (L4->5) creating more room to hire L4s.

AFAIK you need VP approvals to hire L4s. Managers with good ratios can easily get the approvals needed.

I think MSFT/Grab and Nordstorm are other place that I know has recently hired SDE1/L4/Jr Engineers. I am sure there are more.
