Has anyone thought about living in a van to save money on rent? Especially in cities that rent is just crazy high. Might be a good idea to try it for a while and save some money. Any thoughts?
Now, let’s get started by me giving you a little bit of a scenario of what my life is all about! First off, I am 35 years old.. I am divorced.. and I live in a van down by the river! Now, you kids are probably saying to yourself, “Now, I’m gonna go out, and I’m gonna get the world by the tail, and wrap it around and put it in my pocket!!” Well, I’m here to tell you that you’re probably gonna find out, as you go out there, that you’re not gonna amount to Jack Squat!!” You’re gonna end up eating a steady diet of government cheese, and living in a van down by the river! Now, young man, what do you want to do with your life?
His handle is ex googler, so maybe doesn't earn as much. But then again if you aren't at Google, why live in the van in MTV? is your new job in MTV? Could be his choice to live an "ironic" life too, like those billionaire trust fund kids who go to art schools and live in dingy apartments. Wish you the best Google. Hope you turn your life around.
Also regarding diet, food banks and local churches in mtv offer really healthy food so you aren't malnourished. LMK if you need any help and bless your heart ex-googler
He worked his ass off at Google playing beer pong and chasing the interns! Now he's going to have plenty of time to drink beer and chase trashy women living in a van down by the river!!!
You can get a used utility van for just a few thousand, and it won't depreciate much because of the utility aspect, so the long-term cost is really just a few hundred bucks in depreciation. Definitely worth the extra privacy and storage space
Yea, I live in Dublin making 42k. I can afford rent and cost of living but I am not able to save much. So I was thinking I try this until I get a higher tc
Did people's mind explode when they found someone makes a real world salary?
OP, how about a mobile home? Vans will be the target of parking rules changing all the time. The manufactured or mobile homes are nice enough with less depreciation, I suppose.
