The merger hell continues https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/29/vmware-could-buy-dell-in-what-could-be-techs-biggest-deal-ever--a-reverse-merger-that-would-bring-dell-back-to-public-markets.html
Dell has a thing for commodity stuff. He’s failing badly in his vain attempt to emulate Steve jobs whom he dissed in the 90s.
Interesting...
Once you do a lbo. You shed weight and then you go public or sell the company for parts. Either way the investors want to get paid.
I agree, VMware stock is nothing but lol these days.
Is this some kind of scheme to make quick $ inflated buying each other! Did Vmware get some $ from overseas through Trump?
Vmware will give stock to Dell to buy the Dell emc company out. The stock will then be sold in the market to pay down the debt and pay off the creditors. Vmware you are screwed. Your stock price just tanked
Give? VMware is a publicly traded company. It's illegal to violate the fiduciary responsibility to the rest of the stock holders.
They can issue more stock and use that to purchase Dell. Dell can than take that stock and sell it in the open market. Number of ways to skin this 🐱
This seems to me like it would effectively destroy VMware as a company, from both a company focus and a market approach perspective. It’s no wonder the market smacked it with -16.7% yesterday.
How does financial dealings destroy company focus?
