Bf is moving to the bay. I’m based in Seattle. It’s a great move for his career so we are very supportive of this move. However this will be my first long distance relationship so I’m nervous of what to do so we won’t be too absent from each other’s life. We plan to potentially fly back and forth to see each other but he will have a house mate that will be inconvenient for me to visit. He will also be busy with his new job that time will be limited. I honestly would feel so lonely without him and will try to participate more in group events and self improvement. Any tips from long distance couple out there?
Visit regularly and make sure to satisfy each other on a regular basis physically
Let him see other and you can too. Your BF is your emotional partner and primary partner. Other you see is to keep you accompany while he is far. Open up relation until you move in bay area. You both will be at ease that both of you are satisfied physically. This will keep him from lying or cheating. You both can see someone with each other permission for intimacy. This will especially hard for him as you both likely used to spend time together on weekend and have sex. Suddenly he will miss it more and will seek outlet for the release.
He’s moving to the Bay. He will not meet anyone, don’t worry.

We facetime every morning and night. Watch TV shows together, talk a lot. Honestly the best part of my morning is to wake up and see messages from him. We have been long distance for a while now, it works if both parties want it to work. Disregard people who says it can't
That's beautiful. How long has it been?
~ 7 months
Get a 🐉 to keep the fire
Have a side girl to keep the fire at bay. 🤣
Long distance with no end in sight is a bad move for any relationship. You will miss exploring the Bay Area with him and growing closer as a result. He will be taking in the new scenery while you are somewhere else. Basically you are putting your relationship on hold. It can’t really move forward when you are apart indefinitely. It’s another thing to know it will be for 3-4 months but not having an end goal will have you feeling in limbo. I did long distance for 2 years and now will be doing it another 4 months until my partner moves.
